This past week has been busy with baking for the wedding and running around with some last minute things here and there. It hasn’t been bad with the flare bear but I am ever weary of him as you never know what he will cook up. Also scout meetings are starting up as well so there is that too. Last week while baking I used up all my flour and what usually happens is that I go to the mill, get me a big bag of flour, ask them to load it up and then hubby brings it up later on. Unfortunately to make things more adventurous we can’t park in our parking garage due to maintenance so we are parking the car on the street all week. I tell hubby that I bought flour and he says to me did you realize that we are not parking in the garage and I just can’t get it and carry it across the way?? I’m like well shit I need flour. How else can I continue baking?? I’m like it’s fine I will drive the car to the front of the building and then you can get it out and bring it up. No comment from hubby…..the reason why? Because this guy comes home and looks like a donkey has kicked him in the ass!! His back is having issues. I looked at him and said you need to get that taken care of before the wedding !! But I’m looking at a guy who doesn’t believe in physio and chiro !! His philosophy is if it got in there it will eventually leave and he will be fine again!! I quickly realize that he’s not lifting anything anytime soon. His comments are like it just hurts when I stand up and then once I get going I am perfectly fine.

Ummmhmmm. Whatever! You deal with you and I need to deal with what I have going on….which is getting this bag of flour up to the condo so I can do more baking. So I leave hubby to wallow while I go and get my trusty blue wagon and leave. As I am leaving he tells me I will come help you. I’m like you look like a donkey kicked you in the ass and you want to help me. No you stay here and I will do this myself. I don’t want to ….but I have to. So off I go with my wagon and the sounds of the wheels clicking along the tiles. I get to the car and think how am I going to get this wee beastie from the trunk to the wagon??? Slide it! So I slip slide the flour into the wagon and there it is along with a few other things I purchased that day. Now the fun part pulling the wagon back home. We had to stop and rest for a bit and switch hands a few times. But we got there but now we need to lift it out of the blue beauty and hubby wants to help. I’m like nope!!! We got this I wheeled in the wagon as close to the opened lower cupboard as i dared braced myself and everything else and up and into the cupboard the bag of flour went with a grunt. I mean none of this was easy but I proved to my hubby that I am capable of taking care of things when we are a man down (and a very stubborn man at that).

None of it was easy and my arms didn’t like all this extra stuff they were having to do but it got done and I did a lot of resting after that. Same thing with the groceries they needed to come up as well. So i manage things as best I can with what I’ve got at the moment and see where thing’s land!!! Also this girl has lots on her plate. Let’s see how the balancing act holds up.
