My Everest…

Tick tock! Tick tock…..sometimes the hands of time move so very slowly.   Especially when you are waiting on something important.  This weekend it seemed to be a topic of conversation.    As we told people about mom being sick and if it’s not you that’s waiting on Dr appointments then it’s someone else guaranteed!   Someone is always at the mercy of time and waiting.   Can we just press the fast forward button to that time and or date to have the answers to the questions we crave? It would be nice to do but then in hindsight once we have the answer can we rewind to the present? Wouldn’t that be nice!  But then what would you do???  If you knew all the answers beforehand then you wouldn’t have all the

‘adventures’ that we do have in the meantime.  We would fast forward most our lives away and then we wouldn’t have the meaningful experiences with people that we do have.   If you rewound back then you would have to experience everything over again ….the good and the bad so what to do?   We sit and wait sometimes patiently, sometimes not.  At one point this weekend I was ranting about it!!!   Everything I heard was wait !!  Wait for Dr’s appointments,  wait for dinner, wait for the rain to stop, the heatwave to cooldown.  We are all in this perpetual state of wait !! Everyone, waiting and wanting something different, some point to get to.  Some are more anxious than others.  Happy that they are going away on vacations.  Those people want their time sped up and then put in slo mo for the time they are away. While the others want something totally opposite.  

That is why it’s so hard to please all of us.  We cannot synchronize ourselves to focus on the same goal and therefore some of us in this boat of life are going really fast paddling away in synchronicity.   But others are paddling in a different boat of life in opposite directions and the others in that boat want them to get their shit together and paddle in the right direction… Or get out of the boat !!  It’s chaos! Either way you slice it the hands of time cannot be changed they still move at the same pace.

It’s up to us to practice patience and that is not easy on anyone at any time!!
