My Everest…

I’ve recently been battling with some intense migraine

attacks that I figured out had no relationship to my pain, but everything to do with someone in the condo complex smoking weed/marijuana.   Whatever you want to call it, the stuff is vile ! It has a cloyingly sweet smell and the second my sniffer gets a whiff of it, instant migraine behind the eyeball.  My building is smoke free and this shouldn’t be happening but here we are dealing with it.   Everyone laughs about it and yes I do too….up until I get a migraine from it.  Hey you want to get high just go up to the 14th floor and take a whiff.   As I live at the end of the hall you need to walk through the whole thing before you get to where you need to be.   When you open your door the vacuum effect just sucks everything into your personal space and you can’t get rid of it even if you wanted to.   Tried opening a window you ask??  But of course!  Only to have the smell of it waft into your unit even more!  So I

can’t sit in my unit, I can’t sit on my balcony …I need to leave.   So I went downstairs and bumped into the building manager.  He’s like what’s wrong??   So I told him.  At some point you just need to when you can’t live in your own space.   He went up smelled it but it was so much that he couldn’t pinpoint what unit it was even coming from.   Oh this is going to be fun.  Next time it happens let me know he puts up a sign about no smoking policy etc….and it gets torn down.  He puts up another this one stays….but that does nothing to stop the pot head that is smoking for what I assume is pleasure.  My migraines come and go as does smoking at least someone is enjoying it!!  Finally one day someone else pipes up and says hey it’s these guys that are smoking ….why are they allowed to smoke up there when I need to do it outside !! YEAH!!! I sent a note to the condo corporation stating that if there was a “medical reason” as to the consumption of it then I can understand and they need to find a way to vent it better.  So they go through the motions of notifying them and the owner of the unit and we are back to being smoke free again.  In my head I gave them 2-3wks before they start up again.   Yup I walk out and instant marijuana migraine!! FML!!!  So we go through the motions of reporting it and wait to see what happens next.  But this time I was so angry as I walked by the unit I said loudly, really someone’s smoking weed again???  As I went into my unit I am pretty sure I heard their door open…i’m just so over my migraine pain being caused by that.  Also that I need to medicate myself even more because of them…
