Let me rephrase that.. I used to love getting new things. It’s always exciting getting something new whatever it may be. Now not so much I just want to hold on to all the old stuff for as long as I can. Before I used to want to get rid of the old stuff as soon as a tiny dent appeared in it. Now I see it’s just a dent and want to see how long I can keep on holding on to whatever it may be. Why the change?? Well the flare bear and my body are being fun sponges and taking the joy out of getting new things!

I used to be able to go to the store and buy any old pillow and it would be fine. I have been procrastinating getting a new one as i know it’s going to take a while to get used to and may or may not meet my specifications and if not I need to lug it back to the store explaining why I need to take it back and pillows aren’t such an easy item to return yadda yadda yadda !!! When my daughter and son-in-law moved out west they left behind a stick vacuum that is quite handy to zoom around when you make a bit of a mess here and there. It also comes in handy to zip down the hallway to pickup the daily dust from hair etc. Needless to say it died and the other vacuum is too heavy for me to use so I decided that to clean up these odd bits and bobs I would go on a quest of getting a nice new (cheap) rechargeable lightweight stick vac. Something similar to the other one. Hubby and I looked online and in the flyers and we found one that we thought would work and went out, bought it and brought it home. I unpacked it and charged it up but something told me the minute I held the battery in my hand was that it was going to be “too heavy”. Like hubby loves to tease me about. How can it be too heavy? The weight on the box said 11lbs….but it’s all in where & how that weight is distributed. I took it for a spin around the condo and needless to say it wasn’t for me as the next day I was feeling that puppy in my arms. Back to the store it went. When the girl said is there anything wrong with it yes…it’s too heavy for me. I am pretty sure she judged me when I said it but hunny I ain’t lying! Personally I don’t care if she did. What I’m getting at is I’m becoming the people I hate, the people that can’t make decisions about things quickly. I need to hem and haw over vacuum cleaner weight distribution now, what is going to happen when I get older ??? Ahh heck who am I kidding I just won’t vacuum!!! Problem solved !
