The Need to Move!

Arrgh too much sitting In one position is not good for anyone!!  Well, when asked what my weekend was looking like at one point and I said not much, it turned into craziness.   Historically this week/weekend in my life was always busy with scout stuff to do.  Ironically partly it turned out to be busy that way as well.  Lots of computer stuff etc. add in a few extra meetings and pickups and drop offs here and there plus a hair appointment an impromptu dinner out with friends plus a weekend visit with my son, his finance and the doggies which I can never say no to turns into a lot of sitting and as well as an evening visit with family.  Add in some late nights and you have a very stiff and sore me!  Don’t get me wrong I’m not flared up.  I am just stiff so hopefully some ball rolling will help to ease out the kinks and aid with it and keep the flare bear away.   Need to put in the time for self preservation else the someone will force me down and that is not the way I want this to go

My Hair appointment was quite interesting. I get the usual stiffness etc.  When it comes to getting color done I am the ultimate procrastinator and I wait, and I wait until my roots are so long that I need an overhaul. My stylist tells me it’s cheaper if I just kept up with the roots.  Ok I tell him I will try.   So I sit there with the foils growing heaving on my head and his assistant comes over to apply the root wash on my head…..PAIN.   Burning,  pain with each squirt from this bottle my teeth are clenching more and more.  As I sit trying to get a grip on what is happening on my scalp, I am also trying to assess if in the past  this was so bad.  I come to the conclusion that this is definitely not the same.   So i sit for as long as is needed for the beatification processes to take place with wave of burning and tingling and any other sensations that wanted to come join me at that point.  All the while I am thinking had I not been having nerve blocks in my head regularly how much worse this would be.  I get my head rinsed off and I am sitting there with a bit of relief now that the harsh chemicals are not burning into my skin.  I tell My stylist that I recently had a pain flare up and ever since it happened I have noticed that i have some heightened sensitivity when the root wash was put on my head.  I went  on to ask if he had something different to try for next time when I come in so it’s not as painful.  Sounds like we are going to be trying something but not sure if it’s going to work or not.  He made sure I wasn’t still in pain. Keep in mind my scalp was still sensitive from it for a bit but it did calm down.  I my mind I was worried that the flare bear was going to become a factor later on Thankfully he wasn’t.  Just my head was sore for a bit later on so we will take it as a win …and see what happens next time.
