Central Sensitization Roulette!!!

Round and round and round she goes where will it stop no one knows.   Welcome to my version Central Sensitization Roulette!!! Central Sensitization (say it 3 times fast! No one can)   I can say it very well it rolls off my tongue when discussing my pain issues with the medical community.  Best is when you get some that don’t know what it is and then you see the “dr googling it”  Perfect this is exactly what I want !! NOT.  For those who missed what this wonderful thing I have explained in detail in previous entries but for today short and sweet it is my Super Highly Sensitized nervous system (Aka Flare Bear).

As you know he pissed me off yesterday with the whole jigsaw puzzle thing so today I choose to make fun of the pain as it is still here and instead of just wallowing in it ….might as well get my weird on as this is how I feel with dealing with all of this someday.   Picture a roulette wheel and 3 shiny roulette balls rolling around in it. Instead of numbers we have body parts the number 7,8,9,10 representing pain levels.  First thing in the morning flare bear spins it and we have…face, hip, 7.   Wow great choice for now.   That means we get a migraine and our hip hurts. Later on no rhyme or reason flare bear might spin it again  neck, shoulders, 8.   But why you ask???   Ask flare bear??   He’s in control!! For the most when it hurts me it’s usually something that has gone one for more than 24hrs or has kept me from sleeping.   Bottom line is the pain is real.  Even if it’s not in the spot that was injured we follow the signals that the flare bear (CNS) gives us because that’s all I got to follow.   So it is very frustrating when you are being treated for something chronic like this, and your pain flares up but you don’t know if it’s flare bear playing tricks or not so your debilitating pain sends you to Emergency at the hospital.  They take you in only to chastise you for wasting their time as they don’t treat chronic cases there.   How do you know it’s chronic?   Did you even look?  No, you’ve read my chart and it says chronic pain and central sensitization and you have made the decision to wash your hands of me and my issue.    So if everyone else in the medical community is telling me my pain is real, why don’t you know that ?  ER Dr?
