I think i’m a bit better …d’oh!

I have run into a bit of a snag with walking as my hip as with some of my other body parts like to talk to me occasionally but we keep on powering through because honestly I really don’t know if it’s lying to me or not. 

Sometimes it’s like it really hurts and other days it hurts only on a walk and I feel like I want to turn back on my walk and then when I get home it stops being dumb later on in the day.  So this goes on for a bit enough for me to let physio know so he watches me walk and hems and haws a little and does this grabs my lower back and walks with me…how’s that? 

Feel Like Pee Wee Hermann  Umm yeah, better I guess he pulls back on my shoulder woo hooo here we go again….darn posture …affecting everything in my body!  Nothing that a good old roll of PT tape in the right place and I am a happy camper for at least a few days!  The next week he says he’s happy because he didn’t get an email from me.  This time I say that the hip with the tape on the shoulders was ok but if the ground is uneven or not level I need to try and find a level spot for better walking.   Big mistake!  He starts asking me to walk like in a sobriety test one foot in front of the other in a straight line.  This requires balance and coordination – mine suck! So my body was all over the place and I told him that he’s just asking for an e-mail.    Next day after my walk when I felt everything everywhere and my brain was like what the heck happened.  I sat down and sent him a play by play of everything.  It wasn’t unexpected so I got no response. We will discuss it next week.  No worries and then I get a last minute message from my kitchen guy saying that I need to empty my cabinets in my kitchen as my drawers are in. So I empty them as I do that I feel exhausted and I need to sit…usually that means somethings up.

But we still needed to go to a friend’s house for dinner and I knew my body was going to be doing something soon because I was getting really clumsy and sloppy and when I was pouring stuff I even missed the mugs. The next day full on flare and the cabinet guy is here.  I sent a short message to physio it said something like all flared up.  When you get 2 emails in a row it prompts a short phone call just to check if you are not dead.  Not dead just in pain.  Don’t forget to roll on your ball so it doesn’t get all stiff and apply heat when you can to alleviate the pain. He let me go with a promise from me that I wasn’t going to be putting the stuff back in my cabinets after the guy left.  Later on that day I went to get my nerve blocks so he helped a bit with the flare up.   But still the next day it was bad but I had an appointment to my RMT so it helped make things a bit better. Just to sum it all up the body gave us a 3 day flare.  Yess body I love you !!!
