I was talking with someone the other day about how we hate cleaning, chores etc. and how when we start it’s go time from the minute we start and the we keep going like energizer bunnies until we are done. Contrary to all the pacing standards set out to me by all my physio’s but it just wouldn’t get done. If it did then it wouldn’t be my hand and then the other people in the house would get frustrated because it still wasn’t done and do it for me. Then the comment that they have to do everything and then I feel guilty that they need to do it, so do you kind of get the picture?? Also if I applied said pacing techniques I would be cleaning all fricking week …and who show of hands here wants to clean and drag a task out that you dislike doing all week? No one. So nonetheless I am not the unicorn here that wants to stand out !! Come Friday (cleaning day) i’m like alright let’s git’er done and move on! So my husband looked at both of us like we are crazy he doesn’t get it…he’s like why? Then you sit and you are in pain..yes but I’m done everything I need to do for the week and I don’t need to think about my next job that I don’t want/or hate to do. They are done and not put off. If I spread them out I would be tempted to put them off and then they would pile up onto another day and I would end up doing some of it on another day so why not just let it all wait for one day ?? Everyone I have had this discussion with agrees. 1 day and done to the chagrin of the others! Yesterday we had some company over for dinner so I ended up baking and prepping and tidying up earlier also doing a small grocery run and at the end of the day I was so exhausted. I didn’t know it until I was sitting down after they left and I was like oh wow yup, here we are !! Surprising enough my neck and shoulders didn’t flare but my hands did ! Ahh you win some ! You lose some !!!
