Fake it till you make it !

So I am standing in the elevator and the doors open on another floor and it’s a lady I just spoke with the other day and even though my pain level is not the greatest I try to make the best of it.   As I stand there and I tell her that we are going up as the other elevator is “on service” and continue with there is no other place to go but up and how that’s the best place to be, carrying on with my silliness… she smiles and says to me you know we had a brief walk yesterday around the building and you made me smile. I like the way you are always smiling and carrying on about whatever you have a great attitude.  (I do?)  She should have seen me this morning; had a friend not asked me how I was and lent me an ear then I would not have been as cheery as I was.  Then I happened to be out and I did something to make someone else’s day so it made me feel better in turn.  That’s the way my cookie crumbles

It’s been a few weeks of taping and resting and taking it easy since my return home and things as per usual at the pace of a turtle are slowly feeling better.  I had a really good sleep the other day but that was thanks to evil nerve block doc who took me in almost immediately when I called him. So I guess the question is are things better? Or just numbed up.  It’s a bit of both.  I’m not a sucker for pain, however I held off calling him for a week.  But when I told his administrative assistant that I fell, it was an…omg I will get you in asap!   When I told him what happened he asked me why do people always seem to fall over dogs?   I’m like hey dunno maybe because the dogs want to zig when we zag?  He says a lot of people fall over dogs. When I tell hubby this he cries bullshit!  As always he boils everything down to just plain old clumsiness and nothing else. Ok I get it I am clumsy but this was not that! I don’t care how you try and spin that story, the arrow is not pointing at me!  With him it’s never something or someone else to blame, it’s always my fault when it comes to my injuries.   Tried to do a bit more and then it all comes back onto these shoulders so I still need to be careful.  Mr. Perfect that he is …oh did I say that ??  Love you hunny ! 😘
