So at one point during this journey my physio told me he had done all he can and if I needed him he was there for me, don’t be afraid to call. I think I went for about 1 ½ yrs without physio…
Then I started to have pain in my face after many dr’s visits, dentists visits (complains of teeth pain) CT scans etc.
I was sent to a neurologist specializing in Migraines. At this time I was going with it but thought why are they sending me to a migraine specialist when my face is highly sensitized and my teeth feel like they are going to fall out of my head?
I had my phone appointment with my neurologist asking detailed migraine questions this that and everything else in between. His conclusion Cervicogenical Headaches resulting from referred pain from neck and shoulders. Treatment- physiotherapy and nerve blocks (20+ injections in your head) He tells me to think about it and to call his secretary and book some treatments if I would like to proceed. I hate needles so you must know how much pain one must be in when you get off the phone with the doctor, wait a few minutes and then call his secretary and book your appointments.
I have been going to him monthly for pain management ever since. I asked him one day when I could stop coming to see him for the injections and he said when the pain stops then we stop.(Lord help me please!) Or perhaps another medication will become available and then we can try it otherwise it’s the costly option of Botox but with top ups of nerve blocks in between.
